Overview

This position will support a mission-focused customer throughout the full life cycle of a Radio Frequency Processing System, including system design, integration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, operations, and sustainment.

VTG, is seeking an Engineer specializing in systems integration, support, and deployment to join our team. This position will support a mission-focused customer throughout the full lifecycle development of a Radio Frequency Processing System.

This role is based in Fort Meade, Maryland.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, making this an exceptional opportunity to join a mission-critical team supporting national security initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, testing, integration, and configuration of Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
  • Maintain and develop environments for hardware and software system builds, staging, testing, and integration.
  • Perform system, subsystem, and equipment racking, stacking, testing, cabling, and software integration at field sites and local laboratory environments.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation for system and software installations, sustainment activities, upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for system failures and performance degradation, including problem identification, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Provide technical support for software development and integration activities in laboratory environments and during field installations.
  • Create system-specific software baselines and related configuration files in preparation for new deployments and system upgrades.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting of information technology systems.
  • Travel as required to support field installations, deployments, testing, and integration activities.

Do you have what it takes?

  • US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Four years of experience as a software integrator, software tester, systems administrator, or systems engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Foundational experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware vSphere.
  • Active Information Assurance Technical Level II certification meeting DoD 8570 or current workforce requirements, such as Security+.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Ability to support equipment racking, stacking, and cabling activities.
  • Ability to lift approximately 40 to 50 pounds.

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $200K - $240K annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
