    Description

    Qualifications:
    • BSME - 10+ years in Semiconductor equipment, material handling, automation and robotics (solar and disk drives)
    • SolidWorks, EPDM, Documentation, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-Up
    • Strong hands-on experience testing, characterization, troubleshooting of complex automation equipment
    • Experience in developing and documenting test procedures, test data, SOP’s, best practices
    • Strong familiarity in mechatronics/automation design (motor sizing, actuator design, sensor selection, etc.)
    • Industrial automation and control systems (VFD and servo drives, multi-axis robots, PLCs) a plus
    • Experience with optics, lasers, x-rays, lenses a plus
    Responsibilities:
    • Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis across predominantly Mechanical, but also Electrical and Controls domains.
    • Define critical aspects of machine performance and develop corresponding tests and tuning methods.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams – including mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineers to resolve integration and performance issues.
    • Develop and execute detailed hardware test procedures – from subsystem acceptance tests to system-level validation – ensuring performance meets design and reliability requirements.
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, identifying trends, deviations, and opportunities for design or process improvements.
