Summary

DataPath, Inc. is seeking a Systems Integration Technician that needs to effectively plan the integration between different types of hardware, software, organizational procedures and databases systems. Integration engineers will also create thorough documentation for the process they implement to ensure that others can correctly interpret it. Their job also often involves a considerable and detailed amount of communication with organization clients.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Interacting with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. • Participates in the development of test strategies. • Assist in developing solutions to systems engineering challenges based on technology insertion and new product integration • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Tactical Network hardware and software systems as they relate to large-scale battlefield communications at all echelons • Install (load) the unit specific configurations (configs)/Internet Protocols (IP) which are based on the latest unit System Architecture and the Lightweight Directory Interchange Format (LDIF). • Ensure that PdM NetMod and PdM Mission Network systems are Fully Mission Capable (FMC) following Initial Fielding, Reset or Upgrade and are therefore ready for the unit and ready to be utilized for missions

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science and 10+ years of relevant experience as a System Engineer or performing System Engineer related activities. • 5+ years in the Department of Defense supporting systems engineering technologies highly preferred. • Must be familiar with responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable communication networks in dynamic, often military or field-based environments • Must be experienced with integrating existing infrastructures with new tactical network components. • The ability to break systems into major components and subcomponents and understand the interfaces between them. • The need to design systems and components with a logical modular design with logical/standard interfaces to provide scalability and change when needed. • Experience with managing network connectivity between various platforms like ground vehicles, airborne assets, and command centers

 

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with selecting appropriate network protocols and technologies for specific mission needs, including data link layers, routing protocols, and encryption mechanisms. • Experience with testing methodologies for embedded systems, integration testing, and systems-level testing; familiarity with utilization of simulation tools to analyze system performance under various scenarios. • Experience with hardware interfacing (analog/digital converters, sensors, actuators) • DoD 8570/8410 IAT Level II certification. • Advanced degrees in a relevant technical field are preferred; however, significant professional experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements on a case-by-case basis, subject to formal customer waiver and contractual approval.

 

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be US Citizen and have a current active secret clearance. • Physical Requirements: • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. • Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may include delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
