Our client is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Systems Integration Technician for their Huntsville office location. This is a mid-level position in which the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and enhancing aircraft modifications for commercial and military organizations. This position requires someone interested and well-versed in avionics and electrical systems for various aircraft.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with a team of Electrical and Design Engineers and PMs to troubleshoot, design, and implement electrical systems supporting various military and commercial customers.
- Provide offsite and onsite assistance and installation of electrical systems.
- Perform quality inspections and functional testing of electronic components and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to identify and resolve issues during testing and production.
- Build cables, wire harnesses, and related electrical assemblies from manufacturing orders, drawings, engineering changes, customer specifications, and process instructions.
- Occasionally travel to hangars, bases, and customer sites to facilitate successful system integration of mechanical and electrical systems and provide assistance to Project Managers at onsite locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in avionics and electrical wiring systems.
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Ability to effectively manage time over several programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proficiently with remotely located employees as well as in a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel CONUS and OCONUS (no more than 10% of the time).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Working knowledge of IPC standards, including J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must currently possess an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current or previous IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
- J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification.
- AutoCAD Electrical experience is a plus.
- Interest in aviation airframe modifications is recommended.
- A&P certification or relevant certifications are a plus.
- DoD or Military background is a plus.
