Systems Integration & Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer in Orlando, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports integration and testing of complex electro-optical systems, working across hardware and software to ensure system performance and reliability. You will play a key role in developing and executing test solutions in a production environment.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of experience with software development (C, C++, or LabVIEW)
• 4–6 years of experience in a production environment
• 6+ years of experience with test equipment design
• 6+ years of experience with electronic testing
• 6+ years of experience with mechanical testing
• Experience developing and executing test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues
• Ability to analyze test results and document findings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or NI-based systems
• Experience integrating automated test equipment (ATE) with hardware systems
• Experience working with VXI/PXI chassis, switches, or electro-optical testing systems
• Experience supporting high-volume production environments
• Experience with electro-optical sensor systems

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement integration and test solutions for complex systems
• Create and execute system and subsystem test plans and procedures
• Support hardware and software integration activities
• Analyze test results and generate evaluation reports
• Identify and document discrepancies and support regression testing
• Coordinate test activities across engineering and production teams
• Support continuous improvement of test processes and system performance
• Ensure compliance with technical, schedule, and cost requirements
