Systems Integrator / Test Engineer
Herndon, VA
Pay From: $80,000 per year
MUST:
Must hold or be able to obtain a Secret clearance preferred
Experienced Systems Integrator
U.S. Citizenship required
2+ years of relevant experience
Experienced in Systems Engineering and/or other engineering disciplines with an emphasis on test requirements development, test planning, test documentation, and systems integration, verification, and validation
Experience developing and/or managing system requirements
Experience with requirements management and traceability to system verification and validation
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fluid, and power systems
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical challenges associated with testing complex hardware systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Experience with spaceflight and electro-optic hardware integration preferred
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required
Master's degree in Engineering preferred
DUTIES:
Lead the planning and execution of integration and testing of complex spaceflight lasers and electro-optical systems
Perform hands-on integration, testing, verification, and validation of complex hardware systems
Develop test processes, test equipment designs, test configuration setups, and systems integration using proven methodologies and techniques
Define component, assembly, and system-level test requirements
Develop component, assembly, and system-level test documentation
Design deliverable hardware, ground support equipment, and special test equipment
Manage system requirements and maintain traceability through system verification and validation
Coordinate and support engineering design efforts
Apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fluid, and power systems to resolve technical problems encountered during integration and testing
Coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to support critical flight integration and test efforts
Support integration and testing of spaceflight and electro-optical hardware
