Job Summary:

This person will support team members focused on Rights Management for our Streaming Services partners, including Streaming Services domestically and globally. This individual will confirm distribution and music rights for Streaming Services.
Comprised of the Company’s international business units and various direct-to-consumer streaming services, Platform Distribution aligns technology, media distribution and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

• Provide Rights Clearance: 70%
  • Key member of the Rights Management Streaming Services team, which is responsible for all owned, produced, acquired or licensed titles by the Company  for inclusion on Streaming Services
  • Perform contract interpretation on acquisition agreements and manage communication with local legal teams
  • Assist in preparation of communications of preliminary and confirmed rights information and changes to rights information to streaming and other relevant teams’ Initial point of contact for rights related questions from domestic and international teams
  • Compile high volumes of material data sets in Excel, and map, migrate and validate data sets in Rightsline and Belle
  • Liaise with global teams to confirm rights, verify start dates and other general contract administration on TWDC current and library titles
• Project Management of  Streaming Services: 30%
  • Point of Contact for internal and external relationships between the Rights Management team and Streaming Services
  • Collaborate with internal teams as needed (Content Sales, Technical Servicing, Finance/Accounting, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Sales, Deal Management, etc.)
  • Support various projects that are required by the department to maintain data constancy/integrity

Qualifications:

• 3 years of work experience
• 1 year of related work experience
• Comfortable working with Airtable (Nice to have but must have familiarity at least), Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
• Understanding of underlying distribution and music rights
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and queries at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques
• Proven experience utilizing problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
• Well versed in interpreting contractual language and analyzing agreements
