Systems Operations Technical Manager

The Systems Operations team manages the organization's technology infrastructure, including systems, networks, telecommunications, security, and end-user technology services. The team delivers reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that support employees and business operations across the company.

The Systems Operations Technical Manager supports the organization's infrastructure, network, and telecommunications environments. This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, securing, and improving enterprise systems while providing technical support for daily operations and strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop infrastructure solutions that support operational needs, security standards, and system performance.
• Monitor and maintain network, server, cloud, and telecommunications environments to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, system, and network issues, escalating to vendors when necessary and driving issues through resolution.
• Plan, test, implement, and document infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and technology improvements.
• Support infrastructure-related projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all information security policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to critical system outages or emergencies when required.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in:

• Network installations, configurations, and troubleshooting

• Systems installations, configurations, and troubleshooting

• Supporting enterprise infrastructure in a corporate network environment

• Network Administration

• Network technologies and equipment, including Cisco and HPE platforms

• Routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

• Network management and diagnostic tools

• Cloud-based networking infrastructure and automation

• Network security principles and technologies

• System Administration

• Systems technologies and equipment, such as blade servers

• SAN fabrics, including iSCSI and Fiber Channel (FC)

• Enterprise storage solutions and management applications

• Virtualization technologies:

• VMware ESX

• VMware Horizon

• Microsoft Hyper-V

• Red Hat Virtualization

• Server operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows Server

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux

• Core infrastructure services:

• Active Directory (AD)

• DNS

• DHCP

• Backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam

• Cloud-based systems infrastructure:

• Microsoft 365

• Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Infrastructure automation and systems security

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry-recognized certifications in network administration and/or systems administration
• Relevant vendor certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, AWS, or HPE certifications preferred.
