The Opportunity: ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Specialist to join our Boston team. In this role, you will play a key role in our technical delivery team by working with a Client Technology Manager (CTM), and Senior Engineers to drive the technology programs, including Cloud implementation and support, desktop engineering escalation, and networking for a defined portfolio of clients. Using the latest and greatest technologies and solutions, you will support the clients innovation by following a set of standards and best practices in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

In this hybrid role, you may be dedicated to one of our flagship clients or support multiple clients in Boston, MA.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with, and act as a tier 3 escalation point for Client Technology Management, Service Desk, Engineering, and other client support teams. • Provide accurate, comprehensive notes on work performed to account for time spent with customers. • Provide advanced support of cloud infrastructures such as Microsoft 365/Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS). • Provide escalation support on common productivity technologies such as Microsoft 365 modern workplace including Intune. • Implement and manage enterprise mail platform and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace, Proofpoint Essentials, and Mimecast. • Take ownership of complex technical challenges and provide long-term fixes based on root cause analysis. • Document processes and procedures which explain system functionality or regular tasks to contribute to our internal knowledge base including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOP). • Apply best-practice configurations to client security platforms such as Azure Active Directory Conditional Access, DUO Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services, and zero-trust services such as Cloudflare and iBoss. • Provide high-level consultation on information security fundamentals such as good password hygiene practices, multi-factor authentication recommendations, and social-engineering defense. • Perform system maintenance tasks including software and operating system patching, software version upgrades, critical patch applications, and vulnerability remediation. • Support Active Directory such as Domain Controller upgrades, Group Policy creation, scheduled software deployments, network policy maintenance, and certificate management. • Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device/Mobile Application Management, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware. • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful delivery and participate in after-hours client project implementations, migrations, and upgrades.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related field, or 3+ years comparable experience in a technology administration role. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows Server and Windows 10/11. • Intermediate understanding of networking concepts: Routing, Switching, network security, hardware, and software VPN clients. • Proficient with deployment and troubleshooting of operating systems and applications. • Android/iOS configuration, troubleshooting, and integration with MDM solutions. • Proficient with Microsoft 365 modern workplace including Intune. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows Server and Windows 10/11. • Experience with cyber-security concepts (Multi-Factor Authentication, Endpoint protection, Web and Mail security platforms). • Ability to perform patching and maintenance of systems. • Experience with backup configuration and data recovery. • Familiarity with enterprise management tools and tasks (vulnerability management, event management, RMM). • Experience using PowerShell to manage Microsoft products. • Proficient in incident response management during security events and high-priority escalations, as well as disaster recovery and business continuity activations.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP) preferred. • Financial Services or Life Science industry experience a plus. • Certifications in cloud services, network management, or cyber-security, such as CCNA, CISSP, Azure Fundamentals, and VCP a plus but not required. • Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix digital workspace platform.
