Summary:
Performs pneumatic tube and valve installation for spacecraft systems.
Performs hydraulic systems installation for spacecraft manufacturing operations.
Performs hybrid rocket propulsion installation on spacecraft assemblies.
Installs landing gear, flight control actuators, and cabin environmental control systems (ECS).
Troubleshoots mechanical and hydraulic systems during spacecraft manufacturing.
Fabricates and assembles composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes.
Safely drills holes in composite and metal structures including composite and metal stack-ups.
Uses hand tools and machinery including drills, die grinders, and calipers for assembly tasks.
Installs multiple fastener types including Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, and Composi-Lok.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and models to follow work instructions.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of experience as a technician in an aerospace or equivalent high-reliability field.
Experience in aircraft fabrication and assembly or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated ability to use computer applications to follow manufacturing work instructions.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and models.
Familiarity with MS flareless fittings and standard O-rings for fluid systems.
Ability to safely and correctly drill holes in composite and metal structures.
Understanding of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
