Job Description Summary The Systems Training Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering world‑class training experience in support of integrated technical systems and networking devices for internal and external customers. The role owns training‑related activities for assigned products and programs, including systems‑based instruction, curriculum development, digital learning content, customer interface, cross‑functional coordination, engineering engagement, and new product introduction support. It requires both systems engineering knowledge and technical training expertise to interpret technical documentation and translate complex product and system information into effective training content that explains how products function within larger operational environments.Location: Grand Rapids, MI. An extensive corporate relocation package is available for eligible candidates. Onsite 5 days a week. Domestic travel up to 25%, could eventually grow to 50%.Roles and Responsibilities Apply knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements, interfaces, integration, verification, and operational concepts, to support training content and user understanding.Translate complex systems engineering and networking concepts into clear, practical instruction for operators, technicians, maintainers, and customers with varying technical backgrounds.Develop and maintain training content that reflects system architecture, subsystem interactions, interface dependencies, configuration changes, and engineering updates.Coordinate with engineering and cross‑functional teams to incorporate product updates, configuration changes, design revisions, and new product introduction activities into training programs.Support structured system‑level and device‑level troubleshooting instruction to improve learner effectiveness and operational readiness.Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned integrated systems, networking devices, and related training programs.Deliver technical training on networking devices and integrated systems, including installation, configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Develop, update, and manage technical training materials, including lesson plans, practical exercises, lab content, digital learning tools, job aids, and customer‑facing instructional materials.Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to identify training needs and develop training solutions that support product, program, and operational requirements.Support training delivery in classroom, virtual, and hands‑on environments, including training conducted at customer locations, as required.Ensure training content remains aligned with current product configurations, engineering intent, and customer use cases.Maintain high standards for training quality, learner engagement, and execution across assigned programs.Ensure applicable student and employee health, safety, and environmental requirements are supported in assigned training activities and facilities.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited university or college.Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role engaged in systems engineering, technical training, instructional delivery, maintenance, product support, customer support, or related technical roles.Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts, including requirements, interfaces, integration, verification, and system‑level operation.Experience training users on integrated technical systems and/or networking devices.Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver complex technical information in a clear and effective manner.Ability to travel as required to support customer and training delivery needs.U.S. citizenship status is required.Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.Desired Characteristics Strong understanding of network architecture, secure communications, or integrated technical systems.Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning methodologies in a technical environment.Experience delivering virtual, instructor‑led, and hands‑on technical training.Experience supporting new product introduction, configuration changes, and engineering‑driven updates to training content.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to influence others and lead small teams.Compensation Base pay range: $95,000.00 – $127,000.00 annually (USD).Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary.Benefits Health care benefits: medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.Access to a Health Coach and Employee Assistance Program with 24/7 confidential counseling.Retirement benefits: GE Aerospace Retirement Savings Plan, 401(k) with company match and contributions.Additional benefits include tuition assistance, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, and paid time off for vacation or illness.EEO Statement GE Aerospace is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
