The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of high-reliability electronics manufacturing, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the defense and aerospace sectors.This role is responsible for identifying new contract manufacturing opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth by positioning SCI as the premier partner for complex electronic assemblies and system integration.ResponsibilitiesMarket Analysis and StrategyConduct thorough market research to identify potential customers and Tier 1 contractors requiring IMS and electronic contract manufacturing.Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand SCI's footprint in the defense and industrial EMS markets.Identify and evaluate emerging market trends, such as rapid prototyping and lifecycle support requirements.Sales And Business DevelopmentGenerate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, and engagement with defense prime contractors.Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals highlighting SCI's manufacturing capabilities, certifications, and past performance.Manage the full sales cycle from initial Request for Information (RFI/RFQ) to contract award.Achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets for the IMS business unit.Partnership DevelopmentIdentify and establish strategic partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and system integrators.Collaborate with partners to develop joint initiatives for large-scale government programs.Represent SCI Technology at industry trade shows and manufacturing symposiums.Technical AdvocacyDevelop a deep understanding of SCI's manufacturing floor capabilities, including SMT lines, box builds, and specialized testing.Serve as a bridge between the customer and SCI's engineering and operations teams to ensure technical requirements are met.Provide feedback to internal teams regarding market pricing, competitor capabilities, and required capital investments.Reporting And AdministrationMaintain accurate sales records, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts within the CRM.Prepare regular reports on market trends and capture rates.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development or sales, specifically within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or defense manufacturing industry.Track Record: Proven success in securing large-scale manufacturing contracts and driving year-over-year revenue growth.Communication: Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex high-value contracts.Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of electronic assembly processes and mission-critical quality standards.Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.Preferred QualificationsExisting network of contacts within Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and major Aerospace Prime contractors.In-depth knowledge of ITAR, AS9100, and government procurement processes.Experience with IPC standards and high-reliability manufacturing requirements.This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a U.S. citizen.Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer – M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
