Tailor

Role Description This part-time Tailor role is an on-site position based in Woodbury, NY. The Tailor will be responsible for altering, repairing, and maintaining and garments and dresses for clients, ensuring a professional and consistent appearance. Day-to-day tasks include taking accurate measurements, performing fittings, tailoring garments to required specifications, and completing dressmaking and alterations within agreed timelines. The role also involves communicating with managers and team members about uniform needs, providing courteous customer service to internal stakeholders, and keeping the workspace organized, clean, and safe.

• Strong Tailoring and Dressmaking skills, including garment construction and alterations.

• Proficiency in Fitting, with the ability to take accurate measurements and adjust garments for comfort and appearance.

• Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with team members and supervisors.

• Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to operate sewing machines and related tools safely.

• Previous experience as a tailor, seamstress, or alterations specialist in hospitality, food service, or retail is preferred.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light to moderate physical tasks associated with tailoring work.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time to meet deadlines in a busy on-site environment.
