Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Talent Acquisition Advisor / Recruiter . This is a hybrid W-2 contract position based in Northbrook, Illinois, requiring three days onsite each week.
The Talent Acquisition Advisor will manage full-cycle recruiting for a variety of positions, with a particular emphasis on sales talent, while serving as a strategic hiring partner to leaders through the Director level. This position balances hands-on recruiting execution with consultative partnership to deliver qualified candidates in a competitive, fast-moving hiring environment.
Dedicated sourcing support is available, but the Talent Acquisition Advisor must also be comfortable proactively sourcing candidates and developing talent pipelines as needed. This position may have the potential to convert to a direct-hire role.
What You Bring to the Role
Ideal Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- One to four or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Direct experience recruiting sales professionals and evaluating candidates against defined sales competencies.
- Agency recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions, stakeholders, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, referrals, direct outreach, and other sourcing channels.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and confidence partnering with hiring managers and leaders through the Director level.
- Working knowledge of employment and labor laws related to interviewing, candidate selection, and hiring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to maintaining an accurate recruiting process.
- Experience with Oracle HCM or a similar applicant-tracking or human-capital-management system is preferred.
What You'll Do
Skills Used in This Position
- Manage the complete recruiting lifecycle, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate presentation, offer acceptance, and transition to onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements, candidate success profiles, hiring priorities, and evaluation criteria at the beginning of each search.
- Translate business and hiring needs into clear recruiting strategies that reflect current market conditions and available talent.
- Review, screen, and assess candidates against established competencies and position requirements.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, direct outreach, referrals, job boards, and other relevant recruiting channels.
- Collaborate with dedicated sourcing partners to build strong pipelines and maintain consistent candidate flow.
- Present the organization's employee value proposition to candidates, clearly communicating its mission, culture, position expectations, and professional opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted talent advisor by providing hiring managers with guidance regarding talent availability, candidate quality, market conditions, and potential hiring tradeoffs.
- Coordinate with HR support teams throughout the interview process, including scheduling, candidate communication, and pre-employment activities.
- Maintain complete, accurate, timely, and compliant candidate records and recruiting activity within Oracle HCM.
- Provide input during offer development and support candidate offer discussions in accordance with established compensation and hiring guidelines.
- Share recruiting-market insights, hiring trends, and recommendations for improving recruiting efficiency and hiring outcomes.
- Follow all company policies related to professional conduct, confidentiality, physical security, and digital security.
- Perform additional recruiting and talent-acquisition responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring three days onsite each week in Northbrook, Illinois.
- Standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Initial contract term is approximately six months.
- The position may have the potential to convert to direct employment based on business needs, performance, and internal approval.
- This position requires regular interaction with candidates, hiring managers, HR partners, and leaders through the Director level.
Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $30 - $40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
