About The Role:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), a leading defense technology company, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to be part of our Human Resources team and based out of our Arlington, VA location.
 
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support full-cycle recruiting operations and play a critical role in delivering a seamless and efficient hiring process. This individual will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR stakeholders to ensure timely coordination of interviews, candidate communications, and onboarding activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
 
Clearance & Location Requirements:
  • All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance
  • This is an on-site position. Requiring at least 2-3 days in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location.

What You Will Do


  • Coordinate Interview Logistics: Schedule and manage candidate interviews across multiple stakeholders, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Support Recruiting Operations: Post job descriptions in the ATS and external platforms, track candidate progress, and maintain accurate recruiting data. 
  • Maintain Documentation & Compliance: Collect, organize, and file candidate documentation, including reference checks and I-9 processing, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. 
  • Partner Across Stakeholders: Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and HR to support hiring needs across multiple offices and business areas. 
  • Manage Recruiting Systems & Tools: Update and maintain Talent Acquisition materials, templates, and documentation within SharePoint and other systems. 
  • Enhance Candidate Experience: Provide responsive, professional communication to candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle. 
  • Drive Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance overall team effectiveness. 

Who You Are:


Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent full-time professional experience
  • 0–2 years of full-time professional experience in administrative support, recruiting coordination, or HR support
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Previous experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, or HR support
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Experience working with SharePoint or similar document management systems
  • SHRM certification or active membership
  • Demonstrated proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
