Job Description

Overview:

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter will assist in the full cycle recruitment for various departments within the organization. This position is responsible for collaborating with leadership on all levels to execute Talent Acquisition strategies and advise leaders on best practices for assessing and interviewing candidates, while maintaining strong connections in the community and staying informed of local and national talent trends. This position will utilize all available sourcing tools and advanced techniques to include, but not limited to, networking, referrals, career fairs, social media and job boards. This position may provide assistance with training (i.e., on-boarding, new hire training, tracking training module completion), company culture and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Represents the HR Department in its interaction with the different departments within the AACR, as well as external stakeholders.
  • Assists in the development and execution of recruiting plans to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements.
  • Works with hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings as well as recruitment and selection processes and assisting in identifying the best candidates for open positions.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
  • Arranges interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel and lodging as needed.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and maintain accurate candidate records.
  • Communicates with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Conduct weekly follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of the recruiting and hiring process
  • Updates and works with managers to develop new job descriptions.
  • Identifies and develops recruitment sources to build and maintain a strong pool of qualified candidates.
  • Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Qualifications:
  • BA or BS Degree; advanced degree desired.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in,recruitment, talent acquisition or combination of related experience.
  • Familiarity with candidate identification, resume screening, phone screening, jobboard management, direct marketing, and database management.
  • Experience with ATS, and their respective reporting capabilities.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and data management and maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentially on all recruitment related matters.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Familiarity with employment laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of structured and behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet search engines.
  • Scientific organization or non-profit experience a plus
  • SPHR/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SHRM-CP certification a plus.
