Talent Acquisition Sr. Specialist, Operations & Innovation – Event Planning
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week) North Chicago, 60064
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension/Temp-to-Perm)
Pay Rate: $54-$58/hour

The Talent Acquisition Sr. Specialist, Operations & Innovation – Event Planning is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise recruiting events, diversity conferences, and talent acquisition initiatives. This role serves as the primary project manager and on-site event lead, ensuring exceptional execution and stakeholder engagement across multiple high-visibility programs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of recruiting and diversity-focused conferences and events.
  • Manage project timelines, meeting agendas, action items, and communications with recruiters, hiring managers, and vendors.
  • Oversee attendee registration, onboarding, hotel accommodations, room blocks, and expense tracking.
  • Provide on-site event support, including logistics, technology troubleshooting, speaker coordination, shipping, and promotional materials management.
  • Track event metrics and provide insights to improve future event performance and inventory planning.
  • Develop and execute social media and email marketing campaigns to support event promotion.
  • Build and manage CRM communications, audience lists, and campaign performance reporting.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of event or conference planning experience.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience with digital marketing, including social media and email campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with talent CRM or event management tools such as SmartRecruiters, Phenom People, Asana, or Yello is preferred.
  • Recruiting or Diversity & Inclusion experience is a plus.
