The Talent Manager is responsible for leading talent acquisition operations, overseeing the organization’s applicant tracking system (iCIMS), and managing a team of HR Specialists responsible for new hire onboarding.

 

The Talent Manager partners closely with Operations, Property Leadership, and Corporate Departments to optimize recruiting workflows, improve candidate experience, enhance onboarding effectiveness, and leverage data-driven insights to support workforce planning and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

Onboarding Management

  • Lead and develop a team of HR Specialists responsible for pre-employment processing and onboarding activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of background checks, employment verification, I-9 compliance, and onboarding documentation.
  • Establish service standards and performance expectations for onboarding processes.
  • Monitor onboarding effectiveness and implement improvements to increase new hire engagement and retention.
  • Ensure a consistent and positive onboarding experience for all new associates.

Talent Acquisition Operations

  • Manage the day-to-day administration and optimization of the talent acquisition function.
  • Ensure recruiting processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company hiring goals.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to identify process improvements and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and provide regular reporting on key performance indicators, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and hiring trends.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and hiring strategies across corporate and property operations.

iCIMS System Administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the iCIMS Applicant Tracking System.
  • Configure workflows, templates, permissions, integrations, dashboards, and reporting functionality.
  • Maintain system integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Lead system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and implementation of new functionality.
  • Manage relationships with iCIMS representatives and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and conduct user training for recruiters, HR staff, and hiring managers.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support to end users.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate HR Specialists.
  • Establish team goals and performance metrics aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support for complex onboarding, compliance, and recruiting issues.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements related to recruiting and employment processes.
  • Develop and distribute talent acquisition and onboarding analytics to HR and executive leadership.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel to corporate offices and property locations.
  • Ability to participate in meetings, presentations, and training sessions both virtually and in person.
Qualifications:

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
  • SHRM or HRCI certification highly preferred

 

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources or Talent Acquisition experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing HR or recruiting teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of iCIMS applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting operations, onboarding processes, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing HR and recruiting metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms, preferably UKG.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to create reports, analyze data, and use functions such as VLOOKUP, and formulas.
