Job Summary:
The Tanker Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a tanker truck to transport bulk materials such as cement powder, fly ash, water, fuel, or chemical admixtures to ready-mix plants or job sites, This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and delivery schedules.

Monday-Friday 12:00AM-10:00AM
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation & Delivery
Safely operate tanker trucks to load, transport, and unload bulk materials.
Deliver materials to ready-mix plants, silos, or customer sites as schedules.
Follow proper loading/unloading procedures, including connecting hoses, operating pumps, and monitoring pressure gauges.
Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, and other required paperwork.
Safety & Compliance
Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections of the vehicle and report any defects
Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and EPA, and company regulations.
Properly handle hazardous or sensitive materials in accordance with safety procedures (when applicable)
Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
Equipment Care
Keep truck, tank, and hoses clean and in good working condition
Report maintenance needs and assist with minor repairs when necessary.
Monitor fuel, oil, and fluid levels daily.
Communication & Customer Service
Coordinate with dispatch, batch plant operators, and other drivers for timely deliveries
Communicate professionally with plant staff and customers on-site
Report delays, issues, or delivery challenges promptly.
Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A (or Class B for smaller tankers)
Clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed)
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferable with tanker trucks or bulk materials
Knowledge of DOT hours-of-service regulations
Ability to safely operate pumps, hoses, and related unloading equipment
Strong attention to safety and detail
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and connect hoses weighing up to 50 lbs
Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights (for loading/unloading tanks or silos)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Extended periods of sitting and driving.
