Description:
G-Net Construction is hiring a full-time Taper and Painter to support commercial interior construction, renovation, and facility maintenance projects across NYC. This is a hands-on field position for someone experienced in taping, compound, sanding, priming, painting, patching, and finish work.
We are looking for someone who works neatly, pays attention to detail, and can help deliver clean, professional finishes in occupied and active buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform taping, compound, sanding, priming, and painting work.
- Patch and paint walls, ceilings, doors, frames, and trim.
- Prepare surfaces before painting, including sanding, scraping, and minor repairs.
- Apply paints, coatings, sealers, and finishes as required.
- Perform plaster and drywall repair work as needed.
- Protect surrounding areas before starting work.
- Work neatly in occupied commercial and institutional buildings.
- Keep tools, materials, and work areas clean and organized.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of taping and painting experience preferred.
- OSHA-40 required for NYC field work.
- Must be able to work on the books.
- Must have own painting and taping hand tools.
- Must communicate clearly and follow direction from supervisors.
- Must be detail-oriented and work neatly.
- Must keep job sites clean, safe, and organized.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial interiors is a plus.
- Plaster repair experience is a plus.
- Epoxy paint or specialty coating experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus.
- Staten Island resident or reliable transportation is a plus.
