Taqueria Mgr FT

Leadership & Supervision: Manage department staff, delegate tasks, enforce policies, and foster a positive, service-focused environment.

Customer Service: Model extraordinary service, greet and assist customers, and maintain a clean, welcoming Taquería.

Team Development: Train, coach, and evaluate employees; recognize strong performance; and recommend promotions.

Operations: Plan schedules, order inventory, review invoices, and maintain accurate records of sales, transfers, and purchases.

Product Quality: Ensure food freshness, consistency in flavor and appearance, and compliance with Vallarta’s recipes and standards.

Merchandising: Maintain displays, rotate and replenish products, and follow schematic and signage guidelines.

Compliance & Safety: Enforce Vallarta’s Safety Program and health department regulations; correct unsafe acts or conditions immediately.

Sanitation: Maintain clean and safe food preparation, storage, and sales areas.

Inventory & Reporting: Conduct inventory every 4 weeks, manage shrink, and audit pricing, weights, and measures.

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks to support department and store success.

Stand and walk constantly (6–8 hours/day).

Frequently bend, squat, twist, kneel, and reach above/below shoulders.

Frequent hand use for simple grasping, power grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 30 lbs. occasionally (e.g., box of vegetables).

Heaviest item carried: 25–30 lbs.; longest distance: 3 feet.

Work in environments with temperature and humidity changes.

No regular operation of vehicles or heavy machinery required.

Knowledge of preparing and cooking authentic Taquería foods.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Prior management experience in restaurant or culinary trades preferred.

Ability to train and develop employees in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of equipment and tools used in food preparation.

Must pass food safety certification every 3 years.

Strong math and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Fast-paced retail Taquería setting with direct customer interaction.

Exposure to perishable products, cooking equipment, and changing conditions.

Must work flexible schedule: afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
