Final Quality Inspector What You Will Do: The Final Quality Inspector, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment for which they will be trained and certified to operate. Additionally, operators load and unload parts to meet production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, and accept or reject parts based on their quality. They also communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing. Essential Tasks: Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications visually and using hard gauge precision measuring tools such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required Performs final inspection on parts as required Verifies the proper completion of paperwork Check the status of non-conformances and process them accordingly Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties. Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment. Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management Dependability, integrity, cooperation, and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are critical Ability to operate autonomously and self-direct Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions Reliable attendance and a respectful demeanor are necessary Any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organizations values Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person 2+ years of prior experience with final inspections of aerospace/gas turbine components required Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap is a plus Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred Key Competencies: The ability to work efficiently with others or independently as required Integrity and conscientiousness in all work-related matters Safety-conscious always Reliable attendance within acceptable standards of the attendance policy Complex problem solving with critical math skills Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English Physical Demand Levels: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required, with the ability to pass the annual vision test as required Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary Stand at least 50% of the scheduled shift Walking or sitting as needed to perform job duties as assigned Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials Health and Safety: The safety and well-being of every employee are a top priority at Hi Tek Manufacturing. Responsibilities
Perform final inspections on aerospace and gas turbine components
Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, travelers, and engineering drawings
Verify product conformance using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and borescopes
Interpret GD&T requirements and inspection criteria
Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
Process and document non-conforming materials as required
Update control charts, travelers, and ERP records
Ensure compliance with AS9100 and Nadcap quality standards
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality concerns
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of final inspection experience in aerospace, gas turbine, or precision manufacturing environments
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of GD&T preferred
Experience working within ISO 9001, AS9100, or Nadcap quality systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Must meet ITAR requirements
