Seeking an experienced Supervisor to support litigation and federal records management activities in a government legal environment. The role involves coordinating and performing litigation support, legal case-file management, document organization, records inventory, and archival transfer activities.
Key Responsibilities
Support major litigation and legal records management projects.
Organize, review, inventory, index, rebox, and prepare litigation and legal case files for archival storage or transfer.
Create detailed box inventories at the individual folder level to ensure accurate records accountability and retrieval.
Prepare records in accordance with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requirements.
Follow applicable federal records management policies, records disposition schedules, and records transfer procedures.
Support preparation and transfer of eligible records to the Washington National Records Center (WNRC).
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the records management lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with applicable chain-of-custody, confidentiality, and records-handling requirements.
Handle sensitive law-enforcement and litigation-related records with a high degree of accuracy and discretion.
Manage litigation and legal case files, including organizing, indexing, inventorying, and tracking records.
Support document review, coding, discovery, and other litigation support activities as assigned.
Work with electronically stored information (ESI) and support eDiscovery-related activities.
Use litigation support and document review platforms such as Relativity or comparable systems.
Work with databases and applications such as Oracle, Trial Director, or similar litigation-support technologies.
Utilize word processing, spreadsheets, imaging systems, databases, and other government office technologies.
Coordinate work activities and monitor assignments to ensure established quality standards and deadlines are met.
Communicate effectively with government staff, attorneys, legal teams, and other project stakeholders.
Perform quality-control reviews to ensure records and inventories are complete and accurate.
Required Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience supporting major litigation support projects.
Experience managing litigation or legal case files.
Experience organizing, inventorying, indexing, and preparing records for archival storage or transfer.
Working knowledge of NARA records management requirements.
Knowledge of federal records disposition schedules and records transfer procedures.
Experience handling sensitive law-enforcement, legal, or litigation-related records.
Strong understanding of confidentiality and records accountability requirements.
Hands-on familiarity with government office, network, and data-processing environments.
Experience with PC-based and/or server-based databases and applications.
Familiarity with Relativity or other document review platforms.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, imaging, databases, and related hardware/software systems.
