A well-established CPA firm with a strong reputation for providing high-quality accounting and tax services is continuing to grow and adding an experienced Tax Accountant to their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working with a variety of clients and appreciates the ability to be involved in a broad range of tax-related responsibilities. The firm provides tax preparation, write-up, and accounting services for a diverse client base, including individuals and businesses throughout the country, with a strong presence across the Mid-Atlantic region.

The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded tax background, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a knowledgeable and supportive team. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys client interaction, problem-solving, and being part of a growing organization where their contributions are valued.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
• Support tax compliance and planning activities for a diverse client base
• Perform accounting write-up services and maintain accurate financial records
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation
• Assist clients with tax-related questions and provide responsive service
• Research tax issues and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet client deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• CPA license or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive tax accounting experience
• Experience with a variety of individual and business tax returns
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute to a growing practice
