Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Accountant to manage the preparation and filing of tax documents, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support financial planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of tax law, excellent analytical skills, and experience with tax software and accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, or organizations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and filings in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure proper compliance.

  • Assist in tax planning and advise on tax strategies to minimize liability.

  • Reconcile tax accounts and maintain organized tax records.

  • Support external audits by providing necessary tax documentation and responding to inquiries.

  • Identify potential tax credits and deductions.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary data for accurate reporting.

  • Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

  • Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with tax software (e.g., TurboTax, UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
