The successful Tax Accountant will have experience preparing corporate and pass-through entity returns with minimal supervision and will play a key role in helping clients meet important tax filing deadlines throughout the year.
Prepare federal and state business tax returns for a variety of entities.
Complete Forms 1120 (C Corporations), 1120-S (S Corporations), and 1065 (Partnerships).
Review financial information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve tax-related questions.
Research tax issues and apply current tax regulations.
Maintain organized workpapers and documentation.
Manage multiple engagements while meeting filing deadlines.
Collaborate with partners and staff to deliver high-quality client service.
2+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant, Business Tax Preparer, Staff Tax Accountant, or similar public accounting professional.
Demonstrated experience preparing business tax returns independently with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge of Forms 1120, 1120-S, and preferably 1065.
Familiarity with federal and state business tax compliance requirements.
Experience using professional tax software such as UltraTax CS, Lacerte, ProSeries, Drake, CCH Axcess, or similar.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Public accounting or CPA firm experience.
Experience working directly with business clients across multiple industries.
Ability to handle a high volume of business returns while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
