CPA / Senior Accountant

The Hire Firm is assisting a respected local CPA firm in its search for a CPA / Senior Accountant.

This established Santa Fe firm provides high-quality tax, accounting, audit, and advisory services to a diverse client base and approaches every client relationship as a long-term partnership. They are seeking a motivated professional who enjoys variety in their work, values client relationships, and can think critically to solve unique and complex challenges.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a combination of tax preparation, audits, bookkeeping, payroll, and specialized projects in an environment where no two days are exactly alike. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, business, partnership, and trust tax returns

• Assist with audits for nonprofit organizations

• Perform accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll-related work for clients

• Research and resolve complex accounting and tax issues

• Work on specialized projects requiring creativity and problem-solving

• Communicate professionally with clients and team members

• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization

Desired Profile

• Active CPA license preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• 3+ years of accounting experience required; public accounting experience strongly preferred

• Experience preparing business and individual tax returns

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

• Desire to build a long-term career with a well-established local firm

• Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation & Benefits

• $120-150K
