Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our multi-state retail operations. This role ensures accurate tax filings while optimizing tax positions within legal parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and collaborate with external auditors to complete federal, state, and local tax returns for multiple retail entities
• Manage monthly and quarterly tax provisions, including calculations and reconciliations
• Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on company operations
• Coordinate with external auditors during tax examinations
• Maintain tax-related documentation and support schedules
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize company tax position
• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary tax information

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ERP systems
