Tax Compliance:

  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of federal, state, and local tax filings prepared by third-party tax advisors.
  • Gather financial and operational data needed for income tax compliance and reporting.
  • Support domestic income tax matters through data collection, tax research, and analysis of applicable tax laws.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
  • Support the maintenance and administration of Company’s indirect tax software, Vertex.
  • Assist with property tax compliance by coordinating with third-party tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Help monitor state tax nexus exposure and support implementation of procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with federal, state, sales and use, property, and other tax payments.
  • Support the preparation of ASC 740 income tax provision schedules and related documentation for U.S. entities (Year and Quarters).

Transfer Pricing Support:

  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and coordination with external tax advisors.
  • Support monthly transfer pricing analysis, including country-by-country and profitability reviews.
  • Review intercompany markups and assist with necessary tax entries.

General Tax Support:

  • Respond to internal tax-related questions and support ad hoc requests from finance, accounting, and business teams.
  • Responding to Federal and State income tax and other notices.
  • Prepare tax account journal entries and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Assist with cash repatriation analysis and related support work.
  • Help identify and resolve tax issues where procedures may not be fully defined.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Family Tax Assistance

  • Partner with the Family Office in family tax matters which includes providing information to third-party tax advisors and reviewing federal, state and local returns that relate to family-owned legal entities.
  • Answer various tax related questions related to the family business.
  • Prepare trust and foundation books and workpaper support for tax returns.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

Skills and Experience: 

  • 1–4 years of relevant tax or accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of federal, state, and local tax concepts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Required

  • CPA License or progress toward CPA or CPA eligibility
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience with sales and use tax compliance
  • Exposure to ASC 740 or tax provision processes
  • SAP experience
  • Vertex experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
