Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team. This position will play a vital role in our organization by providing tax expertise and ensuring tax compliance. As a Permanent Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing multi-state income tax returns, managing state tax audits, and providing tax planning and consulting services to our clients. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role and a comprehensive understanding of tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review multi-state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
2. Manage and coordinate state tax audits, including responding to auditor inquiries, gathering and analyzing data, and negotiating audit findings.
3. Research and analyze tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax planning opportunities.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize cash flow.
5. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
6. Provide tax consulting services to clients, including advising on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
7. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team and clients.
8. Assist in the preparation of tax forecasts and budgets.
9. Perform other tax-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, with a focus on multi-state income tax returns and state tax audits.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
6. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
