Description
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience and a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning.
The ideal candidate enjoys working independently while collaborating with clients and firm leadership to deliver exceptional tax services. Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local business tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and S corporations
Prepare complex individual income tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients
Conduct tax research and assist with planning strategies
Communicate directly with clients through phone, email, and virtual meetings
Collaborate with partners on tax planning and advisory engagements
Ensure timely, accurate compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Assist with consulting projects and other specialized tax engagements
Maintain high-quality work while managing multiple client deadlines
Requirements
3–5 years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on tax
Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
CPA license or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone
Candidates with more extensive experience may work fully remote; those with less experience should be willing to travel occasionally to the Allentown, PA office for training and collaboration
