Currently seeking T&E Attorneys and Tax Attorneys in New York City, Roseland NJ, Red Bank NJ and Iselin NJ.

Job Details
  • Advise clients on transactional tax issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, and the formation, operation, or dissolution of corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and other entities
  • Structure transactions involving both privately and publicly held businesses to optimize tax outcomes
  • Represent corporate and individual taxpayers in federal tax audits, collections, and controversy proceedings
  • Appear before the IRS, New Jersey Tax Court, U.S. Tax Court, and other state and local governmental agencies
  • Counsel clients on tax-qualified retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation, and IRC Section 409A
  • Advise on ERISA fiduciary responsibilities and IRA distribution matters
  • Advise nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on qualification and compliance matters

Looking For:

  • J.D. and licensed to practice in New Jersey or New York — LL.M. in Taxation a strong plus
  • Minimum 2 years focused on transactional tax and/or tax controversy
  • Strong background in federal and state tax including entity structuring, M&A transactions, and tax planning for closely-held businesses
  • Experience with IRS audits, collections, and administrative proceedings
  • Proven ability to advise clients across both transactional and controversy matters
