Tax Compliance Senior Associate

Objectives:
Knowledge in tax and accounting research. Able to perform research in related matters (PR & USA) in order to conduct tax planning and consulting services.

Supervise tax staff assigned to the engagements.

Assist managers in coordinating client projects.

Coordinates with manager the engagement planning and execution according to the expected deliverables and timetables.

Review and/or prepare PR and Federal tax returns for individuals, estates, trust, and all types of entities.

Develops the documentation and reviewing techniques according to the engagement schedule.

Effectively identify risk and/or issues and provide solutions to the engagement.

Deal with governmental agencies to address tax matters.

Develop quality client relationships and loyalties.

Education, Training and/or Experience Required

This position requires a BBA in Accounting. Minimum two (2) to four (4) years of experience as a tax staff.

Language, Skills and Knowledge

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top managers, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to calculate figures, rates, ratios, and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with several projects at a time and have attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, in both, English and Spanish.
