Description
Tax Accountant
Location: Stamford, CT (100% in-office)
Compensation: $50-70/hr
Position Summary
A well-established investment firm is seeking a Tax Accountant to support its tax team due to growth. This role will focus on partnership tax and asset management-related tax functions, working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors. The ideal candidate will have strong tax experience within asset management and be comfortable working in a collaborative, in-office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax work papers and supporting documentation
- Assist with partnership tax returns, including K-1s
- Support tax reporting and coordinate with external accounting firms
- Review tax documents and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Handle tax-related correspondence, including state notices and filings
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding tax matters
Qualifications
- Strong experience in partnership tax and asset management is strongly preferred
- Public accounting or industry tax experience is ideal
- Ability to review and analyze tax work papers and financial documents
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
