Tax Director

Performance Expectations for the Tax Director:

• Lead and oversee the firm's tax practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax compliance, planning, and consulting services
• Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, including managers, senior associates, and staff accountants
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic tax guidance and identifying opportunities for tax savings and business growth
• Review complex tax returns and resolve advanced tax issues for a diverse client base
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and strengthen the firm's market presence
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic planning, practice growth, and operational initiatives
• Foster a culture of professional development, accountability, and excellence

Experience/Qualifications for the Tax Director:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's Degree in Taxation preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience, including leadership and supervisory responsibilities
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tax engagements and client relationships
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams
• Strong business development and relationship-building skills
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with current tax technologies and accounting software
