Job Description

Lead the preparation and review of IFRS tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures. Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and relevant tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Provide technical interpretation and guidance on complex tax accounting matters, including deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions. Partner with finance, controllership, and external auditors during quarterly and annual reporting cycles. Support implementation of new accounting standards and tax legislation impacting IFRS reporting. Review tax implications of business transactions, restructurings, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. Drive process enhancements, controls, and automation initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and auditors. Mentor and develop members of the tax team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Support regulatory examinations and audit inquiries related to tax accounting and reporting.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Director should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related discipline.
• CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Significant experience in tax accounting and reporting, including extensive IFRS expertise.
• Background within financial services, banking, asset management, or a large multinational environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of deferred tax accounting, income tax provisions, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience interacting with external auditors and senior finance leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
