The Tax Director, IFRS will oversee IFRS tax accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with global accounting standards while providing technical guidance and strategic tax support across international operations.

Description
- Lead the preparation and review of IFRS tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and relevant tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide technical interpretation and guidance on complex tax accounting matters, including deferred taxes and uncertain tax positions.
- Partner with finance, controllership, and external auditors during quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
- Support implementation of new accounting standards and tax legislation impacting IFRS reporting.
- Review tax implications of business transactions, restructurings, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive process enhancements, controls, and automation initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and auditors.
- Mentor and develop members of the tax team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support regulatory examinations and audit inquiries related to tax accounting and reporting.

Profile
A successful Tax Director should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Significant experience in tax accounting and reporting, including extensive IFRS expertise.
- Background within financial services, banking, asset management, or a large multinational environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of deferred tax accounting, income tax provisions, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience interacting with external auditors and senior finance leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
