Tax Director

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
• Active CPA or equivalent certification
• 8+ years of public accounting or related experience
• 6+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership, business integrity, and client service mindset
• Proficient with accounting and tax technology platforms
• Willingness to travel based on client and business needs

Plusses:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in tax or accounting technical areas
• Experience participating in senior operational leadership teams
• Business development and revenue generation experience
• Experience managing large client portfolios and cross-selling services

Day-to-Day:

• Expand revenue opportunities within existing client accounts
• Develop and execute short-term and long-term business plans
• Identify new business opportunities for our client and related service lines
• Manage practice performance including billing, realization, collections, and utilization metrics
• Drive business development initiatives and maintain a personal marketing plan
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients
• Ensure quality control and compliance standards are met
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members
• Provide technical guidance and expertise on complex client matters
• Support operational leadership initiatives and positive team culture
• Collaborate across departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions
