Our Finance team is expanding and looking to add a Tax Intern. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate who is interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector. Job responsibilities include:Corporate, Federal & State Tax Assist in preparing federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns and supporting workpapers. Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including deferred tax calculations. Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices or audits. R&D Tax Credit Gather and analyze data to support R&D tax credit studies. Assist in documenting qualified research activities and expenses. Help prepare supporting schedules and reports for R&D credit filings. Transfer Pricing Support preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports. Collect financial and operational data from various business units to support intercompany pricing analysis. Property Tax Assist with gathering property tax data and supporting documentation. Help prepare property tax returns and assessments. Support reconciliation and analysis of property tax payments. General Tax Projects Conduct basic tax research and summarize findings to support compliance and planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives across tax areas. Other Ad-hoc topicsTo be a qualified candidate you must have the following: Ability to work on-site Have completed a Bachelors or Masters degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. Key to being successful in this role: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges. Prior internship or work experience in finance or accounting is a plus but not required. Knowledge of financial principles and concepts. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. * Enthusiasm for a career in finance and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.
