You will have an opportunity to work alongside Partners, Senior Executives, and peers as a member of the engagement team. Additionally,you will have an opportunity to learn new skillsets, be involved in office community activities, and build lasting relationships with members of the Grant Thornton team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReviewingdatainput, identifyingand resolvingtechnical tax issues, and assistingin the review of tax preparationscompleted by our firm in IndiaRespondingto inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authoritiesIdentifying, researching, and assessing various tax issues while also providing information to senior staff membersIdentifyingand carryingout other projects as assignedCollaboratively workingwith client team memberswhile buildingrapport and strong client relationshipsWorkingon a variety of client engagements in varying industriesNetworking with your peersMeeting with your mentor for regular feedback andprofessionaldevelopmentdiscussionsConnecting with fellow interns and Grant Thornton staff at social eventsParticipating in team-building exercisesGiving back to the community through outreach activitiesOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSPursuing a Bachelor's orMaster'sdegree inAccountingMinimum major and overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 preferredThe willingness and ability to work additional hours,as needed,and travel to various client sitesExcellent analytical, communication (written and verbal),and interpersonal skillsStrong technical aptitude and skillsetDemonstrated project management skillsetincluding project planningand time managementAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environmentAbility to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessaryMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
