### Tax Preparation * Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including: * Form 1040 (Individuals) * Form 1065 (Partnerships) * Form 1120 and 1120S (Corporations and S Corporations) * Form 1041 (Trusts and Estates) * Nonprofit informational returns (Form 990), when applicable * Analyze financial records and supporting documentation to ensure accurate tax reporting. * Prepare tax projections and estimated tax calculations. * Research tax issues and apply current tax laws and regulations. * Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients and firm management.### Client Service * Gather and organize client information and tax documents. * Communicate directly with clients regarding tax return questions, missing information, and filing requirements. * Provide professional and timely responses to client inquiries. * Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices and correspondence. ### Administrative Duties * Track return status and meet filing deadlines. * Ensure compliance with firm procedures and quality control standards. * Maintain confidentiality of client information. * Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. ### Required * 3+ years of recent tax preparation experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment. * Proficiency preparing individual and business tax returns. * Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. * Experience using professional tax software (UltraTax). * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.### Preferred * CPA, EA (Enrolled Agent), or CPA candidate. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
