Tax Manager

, Permanent Midstates Executive Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance and planning for our clients. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our company. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and review tax returns for a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts - Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits - Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings opportunities - Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters, including responding to inquiries and resolving tax issues - Review and analyze financial statements and other relevant documents to accurately calculate tax liabilities - Train and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality work and professional development - Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide timely and accurate advice to clients - Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless tax processes and compliance - Assist with tax audits and communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients, if necessary - Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline tax processes Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - CPA license preferred - Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a public accounting firm - Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite - Experience with international tax is a plus - Ability to work independently and in a team environment We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
