Tax Manager

Job Description
Providing a full range of independent, objective wealth management, strategic planning, accounting and tax advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and families.
We are currently seeking exceptional tax talent to join our rapidly growing organization.

• Oversee and manage multiple complex tax engagements from start to finish
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax engagements
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Keep up to date with current changes in tax legislation and regulations
• Effectively discuss and communicate complex tax matters with clients and team members
• Review tax returns, typically, individual, fiduciary, and gift tax returns; knowledge of partnerships preferred.
• Review multi-year tax projections and assist with quarterly planning
• Identify and communicate tax savings opportunities
• Assist with tax examinations, tax research, and other projects
• Collaborate with team members from other service lines
• Serve as a mentor and assist with training and development of staff and interns
• Provide constructive and actionable feedback
• Assist in evaluating technology and software
• Identify, initiate, and communicate process improvements
• Contribute to a positive work environment

• 7+ years of tax compliance experience; 1-2 years management experience preferred
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Strong research skills to analyze complex tax issues
• Ability to delegate work effectively; clearly communicate expectations and provide guidance
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt to new technology
• Experience with tax preparation software; CCH Axcess is a plus
• CPA Preferred.
