Job Description
Essential Job Duties
- Manage and review complex tax engagements, including individual (1040), corporate, partnership, estate, trust, and multi-state tax returns.
- Serve as the primary advisor on tax compliance, planning, and research, providing guidance on complex federal and state tax issues.
- Independently manage a client portfolio/book of business while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, including seniors, supervisors, associates, and interns.
- Review tax workpapers and returns for accuracy, technical compliance, and quality before issuance to clients.
- Support practice growth and leadership initiatives, contributing to a potential partner-track career path within the firm.
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; Master's in Taxation preferred.
- CPA preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) or candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will also be considered.
