ResponsibilitiesSupervise and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.Manage, train, and mentor a team of accountants and junior staff, including assigning tasks and reviewing work for accuracy and compliance.Conduct and oversee tax research on complex tax issues, staying current with changing tax laws and regulations.Advise clients on tax strategies, planning opportunities, and compliance requirements.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding tax matters, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.Oversee and manage tax audits and communications with the IRS and state agencies.Maintain effective communication with partners, staff, and clients to manage expectations, deadlines, and deliverables.Identify process improvements and contribute to the firm's operational efficiency.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's in Taxation preferred).Active CPA license.5+ years of experience in public accounting, with at least some in a supervisory or management role.Strong technical knowledge of tax law and compliance regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.Experience with tax preparation and accounting software (e.g., CCH, QuickBooks, Thomson Reuters).Full-time position, with increased hours during tax season.Collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for professional development.Competitive salary and benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.#J-18808-Ljbffr
