We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax Manager to join our elite firm. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex client relationships, lead and mentor talented professionals, and help shape a firm that values both excellence and growth. Responsibilities
As a Tax Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all tax-related activities, including tax planning, compliance, and audit defense.
2. Preparing and reviewing multi-state tax returns for high net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations, and S Corps.
3. Identifying and mitigating tax risks and liabilities.
4. Staying up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations and ensuring compliance at all levels within the organization.
5. Providing strategic tax planning advice to senior management.
6. Managing and mentoring a team of tax accountants and assistants.
7. Collaborating with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
8. Liaising with external auditors and tax consultants as required.
9. Assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and CPA certification is required.
2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax and public accounting
3. Proven experience with high net worth clients, S Corp, tax returns, and tax reviews.
4. A thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations at the state and federal level.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
8. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant accounting systems.
