As a Permanent Tax Manager in the Manufacturing industry, you will play a pivotal role in the financial health of our company. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business operations and growth by managing and optimizing our tax-related strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters including planning, compliance, and reporting. This position requires a high level of expertise in both Federal & State Tax, Income Tax, and Tax Accounting.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all corporate tax duties, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Implement tax strategies that align with business objectives to optimize tax liabilities.
3. Review and prepare tax returns for S Corp and Corporations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. Carry out detailed tax planning activities, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
5. Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions as per tbbs.
6. Oversee the GILTI computations and related disclosures.
7. Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures related to all tax matters.
8. Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors for tax provision and tax compliance reviews.
9. Keep abreast of current developments in tax laws and market trends to determine potential impact on the business.
10. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the tax team.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA, MST, or JD is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in a corporate environment or public accounting.
3. Extensive knowledge and understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
4. Solid experience with tax review, tax planning, and tax accounting.
5. Proficiency in preparing tax returns for S Corp and Corporations.
6. Experience with tbbs and GILTI computations.
7. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and manage complex tax issues.
8. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing tax team.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
10. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
