What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key liaison between senior managers, partners, clients, and staff throughout all phases of engagements
  • Prepare and review Forms 990, 990‑T, and related state returns
  • Support joint cost allocations and tax‑exempt compliance matters
  • Advise clients on tax‑exempt status and regulatory considerations
  • Identify and evaluate unrelated business income tax (UBIT), including planning and exposure reviews
  • Assist with the formation of taxable and non‑taxable subsidiaries
  • Support planned giving strategies and advisory services
  • Monitor and interpret legislative changes impacting not‑for‑profit organizations
  • Conduct excess benefit transaction studies
  • Contribute to staff development by coaching, mentoring, and sharing technical knowledge
  • Participate in new client business development and relationship building

What You Bring

  • Strong technical and analytical skills in not‑for‑profit taxation

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, tax consulting, or similar, with a focus on not‑for‑profit clients
  • 3+ years of direct not‑for‑profit tax experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Active CPA license
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and tax preparation software

 

Pay

  • The anticipated hiring range for this position is $108,600-$141,200 and is dependent on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
