Qualified Professional & Technical is partnering with a growing boutique CPA and financial consulting firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its Richmond, Virginia office.

The ideal candidate is a client focused CPA or EA with strong public accounting experience who enjoys mentoring staff, building client relationships, and contributing ideas that improve processes and drive the firm' s continued success.
Responsibilities

• Lead and review complex individual, partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation, trust, nonprofit, and business tax engagements.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base.
• Manage workflow, deadlines, and staff assignments.
• Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor and develop accounting professionals.
• Build strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
• Research complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, workpapers, and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic initiatives and future growth.

Qualifications

• Active CPA preferred. EA will also be considered.
• Bachelor' s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Public accounting experience with progressive tax responsibilities.
• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, trust, nonprofit, and multi state tax returns.
• Experience with tax planning and client advisory services.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements.

• Intuit ProConnect or CCH Axcess
• Firm360
• Microsoft SharePoint or Engagement Tax

Compensation

• Base salary: $120K to $135K.
• Discretionary annual bonus of approximately 8% to 12%.
• Additional performance incentive opportunities.
