Compensation: Up to $180,000 (commensurate with experience)
Location: U.S. (Hybrid - minimum of 2 days a week in the office)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support U.S. and cross-border (Japan–U.S.) tax compliance and advisory work. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership mentality, and the ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced professional services environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage U.S. federal and state tax compliance for corporate and individual clients
  • Support cross-border tax matters, including Japan–U.S. coordination
  • Review tax returns and workpapers prepared by staff
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for clients
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and support advisory projects
  • Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and internal controls are met
  • Japanese is plus
Qualifications
  • CPA preferred (or in progress)
  • 5–10+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate and individual taxation
  • Experience with international or cross-border tax matters a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
